Located in Salem, Virginia the Residential Care program provides care in a home-like, family environment for children who cannot or should not return home. A child may stay in our care through this program for sev eral years if the crisis in the family which brought the child to HopeTree cannot be resolved.
Whenever appropriate, HopeTree will work with the child and his or her family to help heal their problems. In these situations, a child may stay in our care for several months.
The mission of the Residential Care program is to provide long-term residential care through a stable and structured environment.
We believe our services must strive to meet all of the needs of our children in our care. Thus, our goal is to provide loving homes that enhance the emotional, educational*, physical, social, and spiritual development of each child.
Within the program, children enjoy all the experiences of typical youth, including church and Christian education, school, sports, community activities, volunteerism, and jobs.
